Every Kissimmee neighborhood deserves to feel seen, safe, and cared for.
Residents should not have to wonder when a broken sidewalk, dark street, drainage problem, or neglected park will be addressed. They should be able to see what the city is working on and how priorities are chosen.
As your commissioner, I will help set budget priorities, vote on major projects and contracts, review performance, and demand clear answers from city leadership.
WHAT WE CAN BUILD TOGETHER
A PUBLIC NEIGHBORHOOD PROJECT TRACKER
Residents deserve clear information about projects affecting their neighborhoods.
I will advocate for an easy-to-use public tracker showing the status of major street, sidewalk, drainage, lighting, park, and facility projects. I will push for updates that explain delays, funding, expected timelines, and which government is responsible.
SAFER STREETS, SIDEWALKS, AND CROSSINGS
People should be able to walk, drive, bike, and use public transportation safely.
I will push for city-owned streets and infrastructure to be prioritized using safety needs, condition, flooding concerns, and resident input. When a road belongs to the county or state, I will advocate for the city to coordinate with the responsible agency and keep residents informed.
COMMUNITY-CENTERED PUBLIC SAFETY
Public safety includes strong emergency response and trusted relationships.
I will support careful review of police and fire staffing, training, equipment, response needs, and community outreach. I will advocate for partnerships that address mental health, youth violence, substance use, and other issues that cannot be solved through enforcement alone.
INVESTMENT IN EVERY NEIGHBORHOOD
Parks, lighting, trees, code compliance, clean streets, and well-maintained public spaces all affect quality of life.
I will advocate for transparent standards showing how neighborhood investments are selected. I will also push for code-compliance efforts that connect eligible property owners with available repair assistance.
EMERGENCY READINESS AND RESILIENCE
Kissimmee families deserve clear information before, during, and after an emergency.
I will advocate for emergency information in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole based on community need. I will also push for accessible alerts for seniors and residents with disabilities.
I will support community preparedness events that connect residents with hurricane information, evacuation routes, flood guidance, emergency contacts, and help creating family emergency plans.
I will advocate for clear public updates on drainage work, flood concerns, road closures, cooling locations, emergency shelters, and recovery resources.
After a major emergency, I will push for a public review of what worked, what failed, what was spent, and what the city should improve before the next event.
I will also advocate for partnerships with Osceola County, emergency agencies, senior communities, apartment complexes, faith organizations, nonprofits, and neighborhood leaders. These trusted partners can help important information reach residents quickly.
BETTER TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS
Getting to work, school, medical appointments, and city services should not require a car.
I will advocate for reliable transportation connections between our neighborhoods, major employers, Valencia College, healthcare facilities, SunRail, and the Kissimmee Intermodal Station.
I will push for the city to review Freebee ridership, service areas, operating hours, and accessibility before making future funding decisions. I will also advocate for stronger coordination with LYNX, SunRail, Osceola County, and the Florida Department of Transportation.
When new housing and business developments come before the city, I will ask how residents will safely walk, bike, drive, or connect to public transportation.
ARTS, CULTURE, AND COMMUNITY EVENTS
Kissimmee has a rich history and a growing, diverse community. Our public spaces and events should honor where we came from, celebrate who we are today, and reflect the future we are building together.
I will advocate for city events that include local artists, musicians, performers, cultural organizations, food vendors, and small businesses.
I will push for fair and open access to city event opportunities, grants, public spaces, and vendor contracts. Local talent should know how to participate and where to apply.
I will support responsible efforts to preserve historic buildings, neighborhoods, landmarks, and community stories. I will also advocate for public art and cultural projects that reflect the Black, Latino, Caribbean, Indigenous, veteran, faith, and longtime communities that helped shape Kissimmee.
I will encourage partnerships with schools, arts organizations, local historians, nonprofits, and neighborhood groups. These partnerships can help create events and public spaces that bring generations together and build pride in our city.

Community investment means caring for our streets, supporting our neighborhoods, protecting our history, and creating spaces where every part of Kissimmee can be seen and celebrated.
As your commissioner, I will push for safe streets, better transportation options, vibrant public spaces, and community investments that honor our past and reflect Kissimmee’s present and future.
