YOUTH & SENIOR PROGRAMMING

Our young people need more ways to learn, grow, work, and stay connected. Our seniors need programs that support health, independence, and community.

The city does not control the school district, healthcare system, or private employers. As your commissioner, I can advocate for funding, use city facilities, support city programs, and build partnerships with organizations that already serve our residents.

MORE AFTER-SCHOOL AND WEEKEND PROGRAMS

Young people need safe and positive places to go outside school hours.

​

I will advocate for expanded youth programs at city parks and facilities. I will push for partnerships with schools, nonprofits, local instructors, and community organizations that can offer sports, arts, tutoring, technology, leadership, and life-skills programs.

​

PAID OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Our youth deserve a chance to gain experience and earn money.

​

I will advocate for more city internships, summer employment, and youth leadership opportunities. I will also work to build partnerships with employers, trade organizations, and colleges that could connect young people with apprenticeships and career training.

MORE CONNECTION FOR OUR SENIORS

Seniors should have opportunities to stay active, informed, and connected.

I will advocate for programs that include wellness, recreation, digital skills, emergency preparedness, financial education, and social activities. I will push for multilingual outreach so more seniors and caregivers know what resources are available.

SPORTS, PARKS, AND RECREATION FOR EVERY GENERATION

Strong recreation programs help residents stay active, build friendships, and feel connected to their community.

​

I will advocate for well-maintained parks, fields, courts, playgrounds, trails, pools, and community centers across Kissimmee.
 

I will push for more affordable sports leagues, fitness activities, outdoor programs, and recreation options for children, teens, adults, seniors, and residents with disabilities.

​

I will also advocate for fair access to city facilities, scholarships when funding is available, and partnerships with coaches, instructors, nonprofits, and local sports organizations.

​

As the city grows, I will push for recreation planning that considers what each neighborhood has, what needs repair, and what families are still missing.

​

PROGRAMS PEOPLE CAN REACH AND AFFORD

A program cannot help someone who cannot get there or afford to participate.

​

I will advocate for affordable program fees, scholarships when funding is available, accessible facilities, and better coordination with transportation providers. I will also push for programs to be offered in different neighborhoods and at times that work for families and caregivers.

​

THIS IS HOW WE SUPPORT EVERY GENERATION

 

A commissioner can help set priorities for parks, recreation, city facilities, community events, and youth employment.

​

I will push for the city to track participation, listen to residents, and identify which neighborhoods and age groups are being left out.

​

We’re ALL Kissimmee. And that includes everyone who calls this city home.​
